Death at one's elbow

I know i've already posted today but i'm in a writing mood so what the hell, here we go...

Bush won yesterday's US presidential election, unfortunately. Shows you how interesting some Americans are, electing a guy who mishandled the terrorist attacks, disappoves of The Kyoto Protocol, and speaks like a preacher. But i do admit he seems to know a lot more about economics than Kerry.

Right now, the most over-played song on MuchMusic and The Edge is Green Day's "American Idiot". I understand there was a big election in America and the lyrics may well describe some of the voters, but i've already heard it 100 billion times before! ...maybe less, maybe more, i don't give a fuck! For a little while it was a good tune but now it's gotta go, because the more i hear it the harder it is to believe Green Day were my favorite band at one time! It's true, they were the band that got me hooked on music when i was young, so much younger than today. (Help me if you can i'm feeling down..)

Here's my employment status at the moment; i am currently working 2 jobs:

1) Assure Financial Group
- located in Markham (north of Scarborough), at 20 Valleywood Drive, near Woodbine & Highway 7: one of the busier intersections in Markham. It's a co-op placement that doesn't pay me. Read my previous posts if you wanna know more... or wait for my future posts.

2) Skydome (Sportsco International) - Whether you're from Toronto, Chicago, or Bangkok, you must have seen this place on a million postcards and sorts. It's the round concrete thing located beside the CN Tower at 1 Blue Jay Way. (song from Magical Mystery Tour should be playing in your head!) I work there part time as an usher and ticket taker at all kinds of events (eg. Autoshow, Dali Lama, Barney, Argos games). But not the Jays games, because The Blue Jays are just so important that they must have their own staff. It's an easy job but boring and doesn't pay me enough.

That American Idiot song - it's getting trite. Just goes to show the schism between America and Canada continues to grow. America's headed in one direction, the rest of the West in another. IMO it's the Christian influence.

BTW it's time you got a real job. Try monster.ca =P
